When will be lessons be running and who is the teacher?
Every Second Friday
15:30-18:30 with Julie Lenton.
We have chosen this particular after school time slot due to Fridays afternoon’s being much quieter in the club with less demand for swimming pool access.
As the pool needs to remain open at all times for swimmers and hotel guests we have avoided the hours where the pool is in high demand. After the Government relaxes the distancing guidelines we will have more options for timeslots in the future.
How many spaces are available per lesson?
We have allocated 5 swimming lesson spaces with 5 spaces remaining for swimmers to use the pool.
How can I book my child into a lesson?

Spaces are limited due to a maximum capacity currently in the pool. We have blocked 5 spaces per lesson on the booking system to ensure these spaces are not taken by swimmers in advance of lessons taking place. The remaining spaces are for swimmers. Please do not book these additional spaces.
Bookings will be made on a first come first reserved basis. Julie will confirm via email reply whether your child is confirmed into a lesson or on the reserve list.
Can my child use the changing rooms?
Yes. Ideally please have your child arrive with swimming costumes under clothes to minimise time in the changing rooms during these times of social distancing. However if you do require changing room and shower access pre and post lessons to change, they are available.
Can parents and guardians stay in reception and watch the lessons take place?
Yes. We request that only 1 parent or guardian bring your children to the lessons. Please observe 1m+ social distancing rules in reception and the wearing of face coverings is compulsory for the duration of the lessons.
Do the children have to try to social distance?
No. In line with the guidelines for schools, we do not require children to try to social distance. We recognise that this would be very difficult for children to observe and also difficulty for the swimming instructor to deliver the lessons.
Will we be adding more lesson times to the timetable?
At the moment, the use of the pool, especially during peak times, is in high demand therefore we are only able to launch lessons during a quiet time, once per week for now. We will be monitoring demand and will look to add a second day as soon as possible.
